Grab your mask and come to our carnival
Heejake Fic Fest 2022 is the first fic fest dedicated to Heeseung and Jake as the main pairing.
This pairing became popular over the last months, and their undeniable chemistry has inspired many fics come to life. What we desire with this fest is that many more authors and readers gather together to create prompts and fics that can give to our community great content having heejake as the main couple.
A great variety of tropes and settings is expected, so come join our party and let's make this carnival happen.

Are self-prompts allowed? How do I write one?
Self-prompts are allowed in this fest. This means writers are allowed to use their own prompt rather than claiming one that has been submitted. When claiming begins, you will find a section of prompts labeled “Claim this to write a self-prompt.” You do not need to submit your own prompt placeholder to the collection, although you may describe your idea on the sign-up form. See the Rules section for more info on how prompting and claiming work.
Do you have to write for the fest to submit prompts?
No! Everyone, regardless of whether or not they participate in the fest as a writer or beta reader, may submit prompts on the fest AO3 page.
Do I need an AO3 account to participate?
In order to submit prompts, claim prompts, and submit your work to the fest AO3 collection, you will need an AO3 account. Contact the moderators if you are struggling to make an account or receive an invitation to do so.
Is there a minimum word count? Are work in progress chapter fics allowed?
No, you're free to decide this, as long as you fulfill the prompt you have claimed. Work in progress chapter fics are also still allowed, although we encourage you to submit finished works.
Are there any restrictions on ships/pairings?
Heeseung and Jake must be the main pairing, be it romantic or platonic. All other ships, non-romantic or platonic pairings, are welcome as side ships. Be sure to tag pairings correctly (i.e. Lee Heeseung/Sim Jaeyun | Jake vs. Lee Heeseung & Sim Jaeyun | Jake). Cross-fandom ships are also allowed, as long as the main pairing is Heeseung and Jake.
Can writers participate in wip wednesdays or post snippets of their fics online?
Yes, but only if what you post doesn’t give away your prompt.
Will the moderators be providing betas?
The moderators will not be organizing the delegation of beta readers, but looking out for one is encouraged.
What if I need an extension on or would like to drop a claim?
No problem at all, life happens and we understand! Just let us know as soon as possible through the fest email or Twitter accounts. A drop out option will be given in our check-in form.
